My rock -29/12/2020

I met my rock a long time ago I was 18 and working behind the bar in a alternative pub called the castle. She was there with her boyfriend at the time and some friends. I poured her beer and she went off to the jukebox to put on some music. In my head at that time she was cool, too cool for me. That would never happen!
Over the years our paths would cross at various points and even before that we went to the same school we even at one point lived on the same road. We both grew up and had kids and I saw her again at a toddler group. We were just destined to not meet properly.
A few years later I decided to give that online dating thing ago and I found her profile. She had actually given up on it as she was getting silly messages. I wasn’t feeling especially confident but decided not would send her a message. I couldn’t think what I wanted to say so I simply wrote did you used to drink in the castle?
She replied we talked everyday for a while and eventually met up for a drink. We got on really well. We very quickly became the best of friends and I was falling in love with her.
Five years on and we are happily married. She is my best friend and my life. I honestly do not know what I would do without her. No matter what I do she is there by my side. She is the world. She is the sunshine on a cold winter morning. She is a warrior in her own right. Not the strongest physically but tough as hell, the woman you would want by your side in a zombie apocalypse.

She’s awesome. My rock and my beautiful wife.
